医療用具による免疫毒性反応に関するアンケート

TC194/WG15は、医療用具によって起こりうる免疫毒性反応の可能性と試験法についての
情報を集めるために、下記のアンケートを実施することにした。皆さんからの積極的なイ

ISO/TC194 GUESTIONNAIRE about IMMUNOTOXICOLOGICAL RESPONSES TO
 MEDICAL DEVICES

Recently various experts raised questions and expressed concern about potential
immunotoxicological responses to medical devices in long-term contact with the human body.
The term immunotoxicity as used in this questionnaire refers to any adverse effect mediated by
changes in the immune system which is disproportionate to the toxicity manifested in other
systems.
The International Standards Committee ISO/TC194 is developing standards for the biological
evaluation of medical devices.  In order to establish the need for a standard on testing medical
devices for immunotoxicity, ISO/TC194 is collecting information on the nature and frequency of
such reactions as well as the availability and predictiveness of test methods.
ISO/TC194 encourages experts to share their experiences by answering the following questions
and send the filled questionnaire together with additional documents such as publications,
descriptions of test methods etc. to:
